Hey, Deborah here. For most of my adult career life I have been a business consultant, coach, and mentor. This is my personal blog where I combine my passion for outdoor living, appreciating all living things, the environment, and living a healthy balanced life. These are some of my personal passions. On this blog I have combined this with assisting people new to online marketing and business to take their own passion online and replace their W-2 income.  As they say, if you love what you do, you will never work another day in your life.  Being an entrepreneur brings its own set of challenges and rewards.

To be successful today, you need to have passion about something and want to help people solve their life’s challenges, which they will gladly pay you for. When you put your heart and soul into it, and see the effect you can have on helping people reach their goals, then you have all the elements of being fulfilled. At least that’s my definition!

Passion (unusual excitement and enthusiasm) + Product/Service (a system or helpful activity) = Fulfillment (achieving your financial and personal goals).

1) Fulfillment from the receiver’s perspective is where you delivered on your promise of assisting them in resolving an issue or a problem.

2) Fulfillment from the provider’s perspective is the act of bringing to completion or fruition; which is a feeling of elation for me.  Creating win-win situations is very rewarding.

I often have people asking me about technology today, why social media, and what is the psychology behind marketing? Marketing techniques are forms of communication. If you have something special to offer the world, how will people get to know you? How will they learn to trust you much less buy from you? Let me say this; there is no job security in this world, my friend! If you want to be financially secure, control your own destiny, you’d better come on board or stay in the unemployment line! I know, that sounds pretty harsh doesn’t it? You’ll find that I have your best interests at heart so I’m the kind of person that will lay it all out for you and tell you like it really is. Let’s take a journey together to see if we can discover your passion, your strengths, and skill-set. Then, we’ll plot a course unique as you are!

Feel free to take a look around. I create a new post now and then here, but I am now a full-time REALTOR® and maintain my real estate blog regularly.  I leave this blog in place because I’ve had many communicate to me that they still find it useful. I do exactly as I would advise you… focus on your business. Instead of trying to be really good at many things, I would rather be really great at one thing. To read my latest business blog post, go to the Online Success Page. Other posts are available by checking out their links in my sidebar under “Recent Posts.” Thank you for stopping by. I look forward to meeting you online!

      Hello, Alan:

Yes, if all we do is market and try to sell things, it will feel and come across as just another J-O-B. Your site visitors will feel that, too. Who wants to hire someone or buy from someone that doesn’t believe in themselves or their products? Good luck with that!

      Best wishes to you,

      Deborah

      Hey, Jason.

That’s so exciting! I love to go to my local nurseries and see all the latest inventory. Sometimes my husband has trouble getting me out of there! I am currently building my business blog and will reactivate my TSA Membership shortly. I never rush my online marketing and design activities. I take my time and do what I think is best for me. Everyone is different! So, I look forward to interacting with you.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving such a nice introduction,

Yeap, I agree with the post that their needs to be changes made in the marketing method to improve the method of marketing rather than using the old stone age kind of working like a unpolished method of marketing . I feel rather they need to have some knowledge on the market conditions as they are asked to up gradation will improve the marketing techniques, knowledge and method of marketing will help in increased market share. This blog will really give information this as well.

      Hello, Lola:

Everyone needs to do their own research about their products, services, and what type of marketing is most effective for what they’re trying to accomplish. Not all marketing techniques work for all services and products (despite what marketing gurus try to sell you on!). Keep a close watch on what your competitors are doing. See what is working and what isn’t working for them. Then, create your own strategies from the success that you see around you. But I have to stress; don’t imitate, copy-n-paste… you have to be you, not a phony or a copycat. People want to know what you have that’s different, better. You have to convince them that you’re the real deal and the person that is best for them to come to.

It takes persistence and trial and error… but success will come if you are genuinely helping people solve some issue or problem in their life.

Best wishes for your online success,

      Deborah

      Hello, William:

I have been dealing with many personal losses early in the year but I’m making my way back! ;-)

I am very passionate about online business, marketing, and entrepreneurship. I’m sorry I haven’t been tending to this blog as I should. I am working hard on my business blog (http://yourcolorsmatter.com) because my clients have been bugging me to do so! ;) I will soon be tying the two together. This blog is about marketing and my hobbies and philosophies. Like many people, I tend to be a bit complex. Thank you for finding value here. I will strive to continue to provide value.

      Warm regards,

      Deborah

I write a small blog myself and I can see how tough it is and how much discipline is needed to sit down every day and write content. I recently wrote a post about fathers day 2011 and it just took forever. This was because I was reading the book called the happiness project and in one chapter the author describes how she planned a wonderful birthday treat for her mother in law. That struck a chord with me because I often feel guilty about not being grateful enough to my parents. Anyway, long ways short, writing a blog takes time and effort. I appreciate your time and effort here.

      Welcome, Leigh:

It is totally possible to earn a good living online by just doing research and working hard but what fun is that? Personally, I love waking up each day, getting “social,” and reading blog posts by great bloggers and researching the latest techniques and marketing methods. Then, what a pleasure to share what I have learned used personally to help others. What a great life!

      Thank you…

    Excellent work, missus!

I can see that soon all of us will be doing less tap-tapping and more video and if this is your first attempt at it – wow!

Your comments about the changing workplace and encouragement to seek our own paths to financial security are right on the money. Something big has changed in the business world and as usual, employees are the last to find out.

Keep up the great effort here Deborah, the world is a better place for it.

    Have a grand day, ma’am.

Nice video Deborah. You state some valid points on your video. Small business is a definite choice for those who have a strong desire to make their own way, and create a lifestyle they so yearn to have. I speak from experience, as I’ve been self-employed my entire adult life.

I, too, have been an entrepreneur since I was in my twenties and I just can’t go back to allowing someone else to decide each day for me, what I can or cannot do, how much I can make… etc.

      Thanks for the support, Mike!

I so believe that practical experience is the best way to go. I am a 3D wood carver and I could have taken the degree route and went to college however I did not because I always believe you cannot learn in a school what practical and real experience will give you and that been your own individual artist. To me all this degree stuff is just a name.

    • Deborah on said:

Thanks so much, Kenneth. I am glad you see my point of view! I have met so many people with “the paper goods” but they never developed common sense or “real world” sensibilities! I would take someone that actually knew how to do what I was hiring them to do over an individual with just “training” or a paper document any day! It looks like our nation sees this as a benefit as well. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
